Hearts for Haiti sponsored run

Recently Balby Carr’s Year 8 pupils (pictured) organised a sponsored run to raise funds for the College’s ‘Hearts for Haiti’ appeal, which aims to raise as much money as possible for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The run lasted over a two lesson period with all pupils running or walking nonstop to achieve their sponsors.

The sponsored run had been supervised by Mr Burns who commented ‘These year 8 pupils are fantastic to organise their own sponsored event in order to help those less fortunate than themselves.’ There has been a significant amount of sponsorship raised by each of the pupils which will now be used to help aid the victims in Haiti. WELL DONE!!
